Individual lessons

The instrumental formation suggests a teacher adapted to the student, to his needs and musical taste to let him progress at his own rhythm. The classes are open to every age group kids, teenagers and adults. The individual lessons welcome kids from 6 years old to make sure of an appropriate learning context. Lessons can be of 30 minutes, 45 minutes or an hour length.

Accordion

Piano, chromatic and diatonic lessons

Learn various instrumental skills specific to the accordion such as the control of the bellow, the posture and the harmonization.

Electric Bass

Fondamental element of the rhythm section, electric bass lessons include the instrumental technique, reading with the F key, as well as the role of the bassist in different music styles.

Drum

Through the learning of different rhythms and music styles, it is important to develop the groove and the sense of rhythm, essential qualities of a drummer. The lesson includes (with or without tracks), drum score reading and the comprehension of the structure of a music piece.

Singing

Clarinet

With this lesson, you will develop multiple skills specific to wind instrument and according to the chosen instrument (clarinet, flute, saxophone). Postures notions, fingering techniques, assembling, reeds use, breathing and articulation are few themes that will be tackled.

Flute

With this lesson, you will develop multiple skills specific to wind instrument and according to the chosen instrument (clarinet, flute, saxophone). Postures notions, fingering techniques, assembling, reeds use, breathing and articulation are few themes that will be tackled.

Acoustic and electric guitar

The lesson is offered with a great variety of abilities such as accompaniment, playing solos, learn to perform alone or with a group and to get to know many musical styles like classical, pop, traditional, folk, rock, blues and jazz music. The approach is based on the student interests and motivations.

Piano (classical and pop/jazz)

Body and hands posture, the keys, the use of the pedal, reading notes in G and F key, exercises, improvisation, preparation of piece, theory, rhythm and chord progression as well as different accompaniment types can be tackled. Different music styles are offered (classical, pop, jazz) in our school.

Saxophone

With this lesson, you will develop multiple skills specific to wind instrument and according to the chosen instrument (clarinet, flute, saxophone). Postures notions, fingering techniques, assembling, reeds use, breathing and articulation are few themes that will be tackled.

Violin

Joining a violin lesson will give the student tools to a good technique as well as propose the discovery of the classic repertoire of the instrument and to know the major traditional music styles (gigue, reel, etc.)

Cello

Many technical elements will be tackled in this class such as hands position, fingering, accuracy, holding and use of the bow, playing techniques (pizzicato, vibrato, etc.). With exercises, sight-reading, piece preparing, improvisation, the student will get through many theoretical elements like reading in F key, rhythm and articulations.

Group classes

  • Music introduction (Class parents / kids 3 to 6 years old) (Saturday 11h-11h45)

This class is an initiation into music by game. What we learn and integrate is to identify the nature of music, the beat, the term of musical sentence, sounds that goes up or down, intensities and rhythm values. With percussion instruments, hands or dance, kids and their parents will learn to accompany songs, to keep a beat, to repeat, to sing and to improvise rhythms, recognized different instruments tones. This class is a self-discovery into music and prepare to the practice of an instrument.

  • Stage band

In small groups of 6 students and more, you will discover many musical styles: pop, jazz, RnB. Students that are not currently following individual lessons are welcome! The wind group are schedule on Monday evenings and the other instruments such as piano, guitar and drum are on Wednesday at 8:00pm.

  •  Musical theory (on demand)

According to the students’ needs, this class is all about the discovery of knowledges linked to the musical language like the control of the voice or at an instrument but also an introduction to the major musical movements. Theory exercises, musical notation, musical dictations, historical reminders, archive documents viewing, all those will help the student to develop his comprehension of musical structures, voice accuracy and auditory skills and furthermore
